Mechanical Stretch Fabric - The Advantages Of Four-Way Stretch Fabric

By admin / Date Aug 05,2022

The four-way stretch fabric belongs to mechanical stretch fabric. Usually, the method of adding spandex stretch yarn to the fabric is used to make the fabric elastic. First, the yarn and spandex-covered yarn are plied and twisted to make elastic yarn and twist. It is necessary to control the feeding length of the two to control the size of the yarn elasticity. Yarn and fabric elongation is controlled during manufacturing and finishing to control the elasticity of the finished product.

The four-way elastic cloth is the warp and weft bidirectional elastic cloth. The general elastic elongation rate is 10%-15%, and the amount of spandex in the fabric is about 3%.

The advantages of the four-way elastic fabric in the characteristics of the product are reflected in these aspects:

High strength: the strength of short fibers is 2.6-5.7cN/dtex, and the strength of high-strength fibers is 5.6-8.0cN/dtex. The wet strength is basically the same as the dry strength. The impact strength is 4 times higher than that of nylon and 20 times higher than that of viscose fiber.

Good elasticity: The elasticity is similar to that of wool, and it can fully recover when it is stretched by 5% to 6%. The wrinkle resistance is far superior to other types of fibers, that is, the fabric does not wrinkle and has good dimensional stability. The modulus of elasticity is 2 to 3 times higher than that of nylon.

Good light resistance: light resistance is second only to acrylic. The surface is lubricated, the internal molecules are tightly placed, and the molecules lack hydrophilic structures, so the moisture regain is very small and the moisture absorption function is poor.
