About The Formation Of Woven And Knitted Mesh Fabrics

By admin / Date Jun 24,2022

Woven mesh fabrics are available in white or dyed fabrics, as well as in jacquard fabrics, which can be woven into different simple patterns.

There are generally two weaving methods for woven mesh fabrics: one is to use two sets of warp yarns, which are twisted with each other to form a shed, which is intertwined with the weft yarns. The twist is to twist the left side of the ground warp from time to time with a special warping harness. After one or three or five weft insertions, twist to the right side of the ground warp. Due to the mutual twisting and weft interweaving, it is a mesh-like hole with a stable structure, called leno. Another is to use a variation of the jacquard or reed method. The warp yarns are set in groups of three and penetrate the reed teeth. It is also possible to weave fabrics with small holes on the cloth surface, but the mesh structure is unstable and easy to move, so it is also called false leno.

The knitted mesh fabric can be divided into weft knitted mesh fabric and warp knitted mesh fabric. The warp-knitted mesh fabric is generally made from high-speed warp knitting machines in West Germany, and the raw materials are generally nylon, polyester, spandex, etc. The finished products mainly include high elastic mesh cloth and mosquito nets.

The mesh structure of the mesh fabric is formed at high temperatures in the production process. When subjected to an external force, it can stretch in the direction of the force, and when the tension is reduced and withdrawn, the mesh can return to its original shape. The material can maintain a certain elongation in the transverse and longitudinal directions without slack deformation.
